Intention
The overall intent behind my project is to express my love for Philadelphia sports teams and for people to be able to engage with them. I want people to come and read my sports blog as a source of entertainment when they want to find some news regarding the Philly sports teams.
Impact
I hope that my project has an impact that not only allows individuals to learn from my blogs but be entertained as well. There are a lot of things that people aren’t aware of that take place behind the scenes with athletes and I just want to inform people about some of those so that they can learn something they may have not known before. The topic of sports already brings fans a ton of joy and excitement but being able to inspire and educate people is an impact that I’m striving for.
Best and Worst Case Scenarios
The worst case would be that my blog doesn’t reach the audience that i;m intended for it to. Again I want these to attract a diverse group of individuals and that can only be done if I make sure my post remains authentic and non-biased. The best case would be that a large number of people learned valuable information from my blogs and that they can then push to make sure more people are aware of some of these issues in sports.
Identities
Personal identity will influence my design because I want to do what the people want to hear. What I mean by this is that if certain topics are of interest to my audience those are the topics that I want to write about. I just think that listening to my audience and who they are as individuals will dictate what is discussed in these blogs and my overall design process will cater to what they like or want to see.
Perspectives
The overall intent behind my project is to express my love for Philadelphia sports teams and for people to be able to engage with them. I want people to come and read my sports blog as a source of entertainment when they want to find some news regarding the Philly sports teams.
Inclusivity
Since I’m writing blogs about the Philadelphia sports teams I feel that any talk about females will be missing in my project. It’s just tough because they don’t have any professional women’s sports teams in the city. It would be tremendous if there were a WNBA team that was located in Philly but we live in a city where all the major sports teams are played by men.
I’m going to attempt to make my project inclusive just by making sure my blogs are as diverse as possible. When it comes to sports blogs stuff like being biased continues to be a barrier to creating an inclusive community. That’s why I need to be careful that my blogs aren’t biased so that they are inviting everyone in and not just restricting to a particular community. I can also make sure that my posts are acknowledging athletes from all backgrounds. With all the Philadelphia sports teams many athletes have different backgrounds so making sure that I touch on them and recognize them for their achievements will be a priority of mine.

Tyler, I think that limiting your discussion to professional Philadelphia sports teams will hurt your project because it will constrain your subjects. Also, approaching this through the lens of “love of” the sports teams already suggests some sort of uncritical bias will be at play. You should approach these posts through a critical lens that reveals Philadelphia sports to the reader in new and interesting ways. And if that includes, say, college or even youth sports, then that may be an interesting way to carve out a niche in what is, as you know, a saturated field.
In post three, make sure you are using all of the requirements in the Bog Post Guidelines.
